Drying and Storing Cannabis

Keeping Humidity and Temperature stable is extremely important, just as much as air circulation. We recommend storing cured buds at 68 degrees and 62 percent humidity as well as daily air circulation in paper or turkey bags, drying racks, and curing containers to prevent mold and mildew.

Flower

Recommend Drying Methods: 50%-55% Humidity, 68 degrees

1) Hang Drying (Slow Trim)
a) Cut down plants by strain type
b) Remove fan leaves and larger leaves with thick stems
c) Hang dry at 50%-55%, 68 degrees until smaller trim leaves dry up (3 to 7 days)
d) Hand trim buds and separate flower, trim and stems. (Don't combine stems with trim)
e) Dry in open paper bag or drying rack until ready to put into curing jars or turkey bags
f) Dry trim in open paper bags or large Rubbermaid containers (Circulate trim 3 times a day)

2) Wet Hand Trim
a) Cut down plants by strain type
b) Remove fan leaves and larger leaves with thick stems (Don't combine fan leaves with trim)
c) Break down plant into manageable sections to be trimmed
d) Hand trim buds and separate flower, trim and stems. (Don't combine stems with trim)
e) Dry wet buds on drying racks until ready to put into curing jars or turkey bags
f) Dry trim in open paper bags or large Rubbermaid containers (Circulate trim 3 times a day)

3) Trimming Machine (Fast Trim)
a) Cut down plants by strain type
b) Remove fan leaves and larger leaves with thick stems (Don't combine fan leaves with trim)
c) Break down plant into small manageable sections to be inserted into trim machine
d) Insert flowers only into trim machine (Don't include fan leaves or stems)
e) Dry wet buds on drying racks until ready to put into curing jars or turkey bags
f) Dry trim in open paper bags or large Rubbermaid containers (Circulate trim 3 times a day)

Important to note the slower the drying and curing process the better the quality of your harvest. Remember to always look for and remove any signs of mold and mildew as it can destroy your crop. Don't ever store wet flower or trim in a closed container as it will create mold and mildew.

Trim

Includes all close cuttings and smaller leaves with visible trichomes. Does not include any stems or fan leaves.

We recommend drying trim in paper grocery bags filled 2/3rd full or large rubbermaid containers filled half full and hand mixed three times per day to allow air circulation. We also prefer different strains separated by strain name and type, marked on the turkey bags after it's dried when available.
